What I Learned In 2017

What I learned in 2017.

Much can happen in just 365 days… and boy did 2017 challenge, change, and alter my life (hopefully for the better). Everything has a way of falling into place, and every lesson just molds you more into who you’re suppose to become. So, here’s where I am today…

First off, I learned that doing something that truly makes you happy every single day and not feeling any guilt for it, is literally the smartest decision you can make. Basically just focusing on the happiness allows more of it to come into your life! Who doesn’t want that?

Second… Realizing my worth. Knowing your worth is probably one of the most important things in life. Realizing what you deserve and making the choices to rid your life of the things that threaten how you view yourself is also important. I definitely had to do some of that in 2017. I can tell you now, that even though it was hard, I’m seeing/feeling more goodness flow into my life by letting go of things/people/habits that blurred my vision of self worth. In some cases it can be someone close to you, like a family member, a friend, or a even a spouse. Just take notice and know that how you view yourself is more important than how anyone else does.  I plan to continue noticing my worth throughout this year and hopefully I’ll just continue to improve.

Third… Self love. I knowwww, I’ve talked about this before in some of my older posts (like How To: Be Happy With Yourself, and Body And Self Acceptance) , but it seriously is a game changer when it comes to happiness and confidence. Even though I made those posts, I still had a hard time applying my own advice in my own life. Throughout 2017, I think I really improved on my self love and acceptance, though. I just started noticing more of the good than the bad and it just keeps getting easier for me to be happy and more confident with myself.

Fourth… Putting myself first. When I say that, I don’t mean it as in being self centered or selfish. I mean to  choose yourself, choose your happiness, health, dreams, goals, etc.

I hope this helps someone out there and you all have a blessed new year!

Thanks for reading!
