Story time… So, today I went to take a shower and after I got out, I went to tweeze my eyebrows in my handy-dandy magnified mirror.
I noticed a bump so I went to pop it, thinking I’ll only pop one, but no, thanks to that not-so-helpful mirror for zooming in my imperfections, I did the complete opposite! I popped everything on my dang face from freckles, to scars, to actual bumps that no one else on planet Earth would ever notice, but me (gross I know, but don’t act like you haven’t done it). I ended up with red marks all over my face and I started to really regret my decision to look in that piece of crap magnify mirror in the first place!
Then, I remembered that I knew a few tricks to help take away redness and that’s what I’m going to share with you!
Here’s a few things to try next time you go overboard with popping bumps!
- Toner. If you get an organic non-oily toner and apply it right after irritating your skin, it will help sooth and make the redness not as noticeable.
- Eye drops. You can just dab some Visine red eye drops onto your bump and it helps reduce redness as well.
- Ice, Ice, baby. Rub an ice cube over the red skin/bump to close the pores and calm the skin.
- Never look in a magnifying mirror.
Also, just leaving your skin alone is one of the best things you can do. Try just washing your face every morning and night, and keeping your greasy little hands away from your face. No, but really all of us have germs all over our hands and we don’t need to spread that to our face (it’ll just cause more bumps).
I hope this helps!
