Acai Smoothie Bowl

 Start the new year off right with this healthy acai smoothie bowl!



Guys… this acai bowl is to die for!  I didn’t think I would go around craving something this healthy, so much!  That’s a big accomplishment for me, because you know… I love sweets.. like ALOT! By craving this smoothie bowl instead,  I can happily and proudly please my craving.  I’ve also developed an addiction to smoothies lately.  I’ve always liked them, but now I just go around thinking of new recipes and ideas that I want to try.  Somehow, when I’m at home, they just keep turning back into the acai smoothie bowl, because it’s amazing (and it’s my favorite)!


The best healthy substitute for something sweet is fruit, and boy is this acai bowl packed with fruits and vitamins!  If you have it for breakfast (like I do), it keeps you full and energized for the rest of the day!  I’m not just saying that, either!  I’ve always been one to snack between meals, but when I have the acai bowl, I forget about snacks because it keeps me full for so long!


Here’s all you need:

*for the acai nice cream

1 frozen banana

1/4 cup almond milk

1 packet of organic acai purée (I use Sambazon Acai Berry Unsweetened Superfruit Pack)

1 tbsp ground flaxseed

1 tsp ground chia seeds

1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (or honey if you prefer)

1 tsp fresh lemon juice



(the possibility are flipping endless, but here’s what I use)

Directions for pure happiness:

Blend the flax seed and chia seeds first, then add the almond milk.  Add slightly thawed bananas and acai.

Blend, stir, add protein and lemon juice and blend again. Top it off with whatever you desire!
