Coffee Facial Mask

Does coffee help wake you up in the mornings or basically any part of the day?  This mask will do just that for your skin!

The caffeine thats in the coffee beans help to reduce redness, inflammation, puffy eyes, exfoliates and tightens skin.  Also, your face will smell like a coffee shop for the rest of the day so, that’s delightful!!

I’m all for trying new facial masks!  Even when I was little I loved doing spa treatments on myself and my family.  When I was younger (I’m talking like 8 years old), my Dad would go to take a nap on the couch and I would go give his feet a “feet mask”, I don’t know what the heck that was suppose to do?  But, I did it, by gosh!  He would wake up with huge cotton balls between each of his toes and lotion coated an inch deep all over his feet!  I felt like such a kind giving person afterwards, like “you’re so welcome, Dad.” (I bet it took him thirty minutes to wash all of the lotion off one foot).

Anywayyyy, back to the coffee mask.  It feels nice and I highly recommend giving this baby a try!  It only takes twenty minutes out of your day.  If you don’t have at least twenty minutes in your day to focus on yourself and to relax… have fun at therapy later on! (kidding)

All you need:

  • 1 tbsp finely ground coffee beans
  • 1 tbsp organic honey
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

Stir it all together and apply all over your face, avoiding the eye area!  You’ll look like a monster for a little while, (like me) but that’s okay.  Relax and leave on for twenty minutes, rinse off with cool water and pat dry.

I’m not sure if it’s just me or what, but I feel like this mask gives my skin some color.  The coffee stains a little but it’s nothing dramatic at all!  It just gives you a little bit of color, which is nice!

If you all like this mask, you’ll love my Coffee Body Scrub recipe!

Comment and let me know how this works for you!
