Homemade Skin Clearing Facial Mask

Everyone wants to have smooth flawless skin, right? Well not everyone just wakes up like that! That’s why I came up with this homemade skin clearing facial mask!

Okay, I was having a rough day, and so was my skin! So, I got desperate and decided to attempt a homemade clearing facial mask. Praying for it to clear my blemishes up for the next day… and I nailed it guys!

It worked wonders on my skin more than any store product I’ve ever used! Before I did the mask, I was broken out and felt like I had dirty skin and I had even popped some bumps (gross, I know, but we’re all human here).  Thus, my face was very red and irritated! All the good stuff basically (yes, that is sarcasm).  After I did this mask, my skin felt and looked soooooo much better! All I had leftover was a couple scars on my cheek from my new little kitten biting me… 🙂 Nothing too serious, it just looked like a mountain lion attacked my cheek (just kidding).

Anyway, let’s get back on topic! Below is the recipe and directions for this miracle mask!

Ingredients:

  1. A spoonful of plain greek yogurt (or organic sour cream)
  2. 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  3. 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
  4. 1 teaspoon of organic honey
  5. A spoonful of baking soda (or however much it takes to make your concoction into a paste like consistency)

Directions:

Put your yogurt (or sour cream) in a bowl and add your baking soda. Mix into a paste and then add your apple cider vinegar, lemon, and honey until well combined. Then add just a little more baking soda to make sure it’s not too runny, and to help the fizziness to die down.

This is the order I added all of the ingredients. It doesn’t mean you necessarily have to do it this way. I just recommend adding some more baking soda at the end so it’s not foamy and runny. Otherwise, it won’t stay on your face… and that would just beat the whole purpose, right?

Apply the mask all over your face avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 45 minutes to an hour. Rinse off with warm water and apply a soothing facial cream or aloe gel afterwards.

VOILA, you’re finished! I recommend doing this homemade clearing facial mask two-three times a week at the most! I personally have been doing it twice a week just so I don’t over do it and irritate my skin.

I hope this helps you and thanks for reading!
