Why I Went Pescatarian Vegan

Recently, I decided I wanted to try going pescatarian vegan.

Pescatarians are one of the least restrictive forms of vegetarianism.  They allow themselves to have eggs, fish and dairy, but no meat.  I actually don’t allow meat or dairy (because dairy makes me feel awful).

I’ve been eating clean basically my whole life (thanks to my mom and dad) and I started doing cardio when I was 13.  I always felt like I could eat clean and have bad foods because I would just run it off later (obviously food wasn’t catching up with me then).  Then, it hit me.  I was 15 when I decided that I really needed to clean up my diet (for real this time) and do more than jogging and crunches for my daily workouts.fruit market

I’ve followed a few different workouts/meal plans, and at first they worked!  But, following a workout/meal plan for the rest of your life isn’t fun.  Eventually, your body will get use to doing the same workouts over and over.  It’s actually a pain if you plan on getting fit and staying that way for as long as possible.  So, when I started following a fitness guide, my thoughts were always, “what am I going to do when I finish following this guide?”.

Now, it’s been about 4 months since I’ve followed a guide and I’m doing just fine.  I came up with my own workout plan and I was eating as clean as I thought possible.  Then, I started feeling weird.  I would feel perfectly fine throughout the day, but, in the evening I’d start feeling weak and nauseous.  I didn’t understand since I was eating clean and working out on a daily basis.  So, I wanted to try eliminating something out of my diet to see how I would feel.

My (really cool) Aunt had told my mom that she tried looking up her blood type diet chart and she followed what it said she should and shouldn’t eat.  Since then, she says she feels so much better and she’s lost weight from doing it.  So, I thought I would give it a try.  Being an A+ Blood type, I’m not supposed to have meat.  I’m suppose to mainly have fruits, veggies, fish and whole grains.  That’s when I decided I was going to try going pescatarian vegan.  The hardest thing for me to give up was Chick-Fil-A!  I read many things about what animals have to go through.  I read someone’s post about how it’s no different than killing one of your own animals, and that honestly changed my perspective on eating meat and dairy.

I’ve been vegan for a month now and I feel wonderful!  I can tell a difference in my skin, my body and in my moods.  I don’t feel weak or nauseous anymore.  I still let myself eat seafood and organic cage free eggs.  But, I haven’t had meat or any dairy at all for a month!

I still do my own workout routine and I’m really starting to see progress.  I still have some work to do to get my goal body, but while I’m working on that, I feel good, strong and healthy!

I recommend looking up your blood type diet before deciding to go vegan, but if you truly just want to be vegan, I say go for it!

Here’s an interesting guide on eating you might like! It can change the way you look at most food.  Check it out by clicking here!

Comment and let me know how you feel about going vegan!

Thanks for reading!
